These are specialties that are not directly link to the maritime and port industry but that are needed by companies exercising in the industry. Due to the specific nature of the maritime and port industry, AIMS will tailor the training of these ancillary specialties to the specific context of the industry.
The following are the ancillary specialties with their focus on the industry:
Banking and Finance: In addition to the National HND curriculum, students will learn methods of payment in international trade, documents in international trade and ship finance. This specific knowledge is needed to enable banks in Cameroon to finance port and shipping projects and facilitate international trade.
Marketing-Trade-Sale: In addition to National HND curriculum, students will have general knowledge on the main customer to the port -the ship, learn port and shipping marketing. This specific knowledge is needed for the development of port and shipping industry.
Accounting: In addition to the National HND curriculum, students will learn how to cost services in a port and shipping company as well as establish port prices and draw up shipping budget. This specific knowledge is needed to enable our ports and shipping industry to be better managed financially.
