H.N.D in Logistics and Transport Management

Introduction

Global trends in production, trade and transport have created the need for specialist training of skill workers to fill important gaps that have emerged in logistics and supply chains for example warehousing/distribution, shipping and total transport management documents and so on. The HND program in Logistics and Transport Management is collaboration between the Advanced Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS) and Higher Institute for Professional Development and Training (HIPDET) to meet this need.

Industry Focus

Logistics and shipping activities are fast growing in the West and Central Africa sub-regions and skill workers are required for these specialized areas which would even increase with the take-off of the eminent African Continent Free Trade Zone. Students will be provided with expert training in the organization and management of logistics and transport in the local, regional and international markets, taking into account the complementary modes of transport. Special focus will be on shipping and maritime logistics.

At least GCE “A” level with a pass in at least 2 subjects, BACC or any Equivalent
