AIMS 101   Legal Aspects of Port Management

This course examines the legal order of the port particularly the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) standard. Focus will be on the legal system in force in the statute-law countries and the French speaking countries in particular. Participants will gain knowledge in the nature of port law, how dock work is legally covered, port authority land policy as well as liabilities and insurance in port.

PSM 234 Marine Cargo Insurance 

This course provides basic knowledge on the insurance of sea transport vehicles and the cargos they transport. Participants will understand the different types and nature of maritime risks and how the risks are treated by the different types of marine insurance establishments. Also, participants will have an understanding on the types of cargo insurance in maritime transport.
